Xda II Range - Software Upgrades

The upgrade process will erase all data and settings on your xda. Your xda will be restored to factory condition, as if you had just purchased the unit. Any 3rd party applications you have installed yourself will need to be re-installed after the upgrade process. Synchronising your xda with Activesync on your PC will ensure your contacts, calendar appointments, inbox items and tasks are stored on your PC - so when you establish a new partnership with the PC these items will be copied to xda again.

What do I need to do to upgrade my xda?

Use your PC to download the new software. Do not download the new software directly to your xda.

To download you will need:

• A PC with Internet access (LAN or ADSL strongly recommended).
• Your xda USB connected to your PC, and ActiveSync 3.8 or later installed. Latest version is always recommended.
• A 'partnership' setup between your xda and your PC. Refer to the documentation with your ActiveSync installation for details on how to do this.

Download the software, and save it to a directory. Copy it into your Xda 'My Documents' folder. Using File Explorer tap to install the update. No restart is required.
