If I signed up for HEAnet Broadband last year, can I avail of the new offer this year?
Great news, if you have HEAnet broadband from last year and you are still in college you can take up the new offer once your existing contract ends. To get one of O2's best mobile broadband deals, all you have to do is drop into one of our O2 stores and ask about the HEAnet €9.99 broadband offer for existing customers and one of our staff will look after the change over for you.

What if I have left college?
The HEAnet offers are only available to students and faculty members from participating institutions. If you are no longer in college please contact us when your contract is finishing up and we will go through the best mobile broadband options for you.
- The O2 broadband HEAnet price plans offer is available to third level students, over 18 years of age from participating HEAnet institutions. The offer is subject to confirmation of eligibility, status, and payment by direct debit.
- This offer is only available through O2 retail, to a limited number of students, and HEAnet Clients in the third level institutions listed below and is subject to availability. This offer will be on a first come first served basis only and is restricted to one offer per eligible person.
- The special monthly rates on the HEAnet €9.99 and HEAnet €12.99 Price Plan offer are only valid for a 12 month period, thereafter the then current standard O2 charges apply. See www.o2.ie for up to date pricing.
- A contract minimum term of 12 months applies on the HEAnet €9.99 price plan and termination charges apply for early termination.
- A 30 day rolling contract applies on the HEAnet €12.99 price plan. You may give us written notice that you wish to end your contract, and this will be effective 30 days after we receive your notice. You will be required to pay the applicable monthly charge for your HEAnet €12.99 Price Plan until the end of this 30 day period.
- This offer will be on a first come first served basis only and is restricted to one offer per eligible person.
- When you connect to one of the HEAnet price plans listed above you cannot then switch to the other HEAnet plan at any time.
- Existing O2 Broadband customers can migrate to the HEAnet price plans provided their account is up to date and they can confirm eligibilty for the plan.
- If you are an existing customer who wishes to avail of the €12.99 price plan then you must complete the full contract term on your current plan
- If you are an existing customer and wish to avail of the €9.99 plan then the following rules apply:
- If you previously availed of a HEAnet promotion you must complete the full contract term on your existing price plan before moving to the €9.99 plan
- All other O2 broadband customers must complete the first six months of their existing contract term
- All customers switching to the €9.99 plan will be subject to a further 12 month term.
- The HEAnet plans have data usage limits of 5GB per month on the HEAnet €12.99 Price Plan and 10GB per month on the HEAnet €9.99 Price Plan. A charge of 2c per MB applies for all usage in excess of the data usage limit on your plan.
- No carry over of unused data is permitted. The usage limit applies to data usage on the O2 Ireland network only and data usage while roaming is excluded.
- Roaming is restricted on HEAnet broadband plans.
- The O2 Broadband SIM should only be used with the O2 modem and cannot be used to make voice calls. Charges apply in addition to your monthly rental charge if you use the O2 Broadband SIM for other services such as SMS.
- If you are a first time connection and you sign up to and accept the Service during the offer period you can avail of a 30 Day Happiness Guarantee. Under the guarantee O2 will refund the modem costs & monthly rental charges & cancel the contract where you return the modem within 30 days of contracting for O2 Broadband. This refund excludes any voice, text and/or roaming charges. You will remain liable for all these charges. The refund will be applied in the same manner by which payment was initially received or invoiced. The modem when returned must be accompanied by proof of purchase, within the original packaging and complete with all the original parts.All charges are inclusive of VAT at applicable rates
