Spend alerts

 

Nobody likes the unknown. Keep an eye on your bill throughout the month, with Spend Alerts from O2 Clear.

Every O2 Clear plan includes a certain amount of minutes and texts. But some months you may want to use more. Our Spend Alerts help you watch what you’re spending.

Tell us how much you’d prefer to spend each month, above the usual cost of your price plan. We’ll then send you two free Spend Alert texts: one when you’re coming close to your preferred amount. And one when you’ve gone over it.

That should make things clearer.

A few things to bear in mind:

  • Our Spend alerts are only there to advise you. They give you a rough idea of what you’ve spent so far, outside of the minutes and texts that are included in the cost your monthly price plan. (You can check how many of these you have remaining at any time in My Account)
  • Once set up, you’ll get two Spend Alert texts from us each month. The first Spend alert acts as a warning, telling you when you’re coming close to your preferred bill amount. The second Spend Alert will tell you when you’ve gone over your preferred bill amount.
  • Your first spend alert amount needs to be at least €1 and your second at least €1 over this amount again.
  • If you’ve chosen a 12 month contract with O2 Clear 175, the cost of your usual monthly price plan is €35.15. And if your preferred bill amount is €50, then your Spend Alert total is approx. €15. Then just tell us at what amount you’d like your warning Spend Alert.
  • There are times, like when you use your phone abroad, use data or when your bill is being prepared that you may receive your Spend Alert later than expected. For full details on this, please see full Terms & Conditions.
