Email account security

You should always keep your email username and password secure. Please note that if you if you receive an email that asks for your security details (such as username, password or date of birth) do not reply or follow any instructions or click on any links. O2 will never ask for your security details via email. This is often referred to as Phishing which is a technique that attempts to trick people in the hope they will reveal their security details. Webmail Service Message

Customers registering on o2.ie from April 2010 will no longer be able to create an o2.ie webmail account.

If you are an existing webmail user, as per existing Terms & Conditions webmail accounts that have not been used in 90 days are deactivated and removed.


Important notice about Pop ups

If you are using Popup blocking software such as nView Pop up Blocker , Google Toolbar etc, all Pop ups including o2.ie email may be disabled.

Internet Explorer users can hold down the CTRL key while clicking here to override the Pop up blocker settings and open o2.ie email

If your email is still not appearing after this, you may need to consult your blocking software FAQ for further assistance. You can also access your o2.ie email on your desktop; see section below.


Email alerts

For those important emails, you can choose to be alerted when a particular email arrives. You choose if you want to be alerted based on a keyword, subject line or if it's from a particular email address.


Desktop email

If you're always logging in to your o2.ie email you may find it easier to receive and send emails directly from your desktop. If you use Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, Eudora or Pegasus then we can show you how to set it all up.
